Qualcomm’s chief executive has confirmed that the Dragonfly C1000, a data center processor designed for Meta’s infrastructure, remains on schedule. Announced on June 24, 2026, the chiplet-based chip features more than 250 Oryon cores capable of exceeding 5 GHz, and Qualcomm claims more than twice the performance per watt of competing processors. Full production for Meta’s servers is targeted for the second half of 2028, following platform sampling in the first half of 2027. The multi-year agreement with Meta provides an anchor customer for Qualcomm’s return to the server processor market, where the company targets approximately $15 billion in annual data center sales by fiscal 2029.
