OKX is launching OKX Shield, a crypto account protection program for its European clients, available starting September 22, 2026. This program offers financial coverage of up to 500,000 euros depending on the client level: 100,000 euros for standard clients, 250,000 euros for VIP levels 1 to 3, and 500,000 euros for VIP level 4 and above. It covers phishing, malware attacks, security incidents at OKX, and device theft, but excludes self-initiated transactions, market fluctuation losses, and assets held outside the platform. Activation takes five minutes and the service is included at no extra cost for eligible clients. Note that OKX Shield is neither insurance nor a deposit guarantee, but a discretionary program subject to conditions.
