Nvidia explores investment in AI data supplier Mercor valued at $20B

Nvidia is in discussions to invest in Mercor, an AI data marketplace that connects companies with human experts producing training data for AI models. Negotiations reportedly target a valuation of $20 billion, doubling from the $10 billion valuation from the Series C funding round in October 2025. Mercor generated $614 million in gross revenue during the first half of the year and projects to reach $2 billion in annualized gross revenue by June 2026. Its clients include OpenAI, Anthropic, and Nvidia itself. The company’s founders, Brendan Foody, Adarsh H., and Surya Midha, reportedly became some of the world’s youngest self-made billionaires.
