Nasdaq Ventures has agreed to invest $100 million in Payward, the parent company of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken. Payward will deploy Nasdaq market surveillance tools across all its trading platforms, including cryptocurrencies, equities, tokenized equities, futures and options. The two companies will continue to develop the Nasdaq Equity Tokens (NET), with a launch targeted for Q2 2027. This transaction, which remains conditional and whose full terms have not been disclosed, strengthens Payward’s integration into the project’s surveillance and settlement infrastructure.
