Mysten Labs and Google Cloud launch Verifiable Agent Arbiter to audit AI agents

Mysten Labs and Google Cloud launched the Verifiable Agent Arbiter (VAA) on October 6, 2026, an evidence layer that enables enterprises to cryptographically verify that their AI agents operated within their granted authority. The system stores telemetry data in customer-controlled Google Cloud Storage environments while keeping cryptographic proofs on Walrus and the Sui blockchain. This separation ensures sensitive business data remains private while providing tamper-evident records on decentralized infrastructure. The launch comes as the EU AI Act takes effect in 2027, with noncompliance fines reaching up to 15 million euros or 3% of global annual turnover. For the Sui ecosystem, the partnership represents a significant distribution opportunity through Google Cloud’s enterprise relationships.
