Lighter CEO Vlad Novakovski presented fixed income products as the next major opportunity for decentralized finance during Korea Blockchain Week 2026. The platform launched a perpetual US Treasury 10-year contract in August 2026 with leverage of up to 20x. Lighter operates a decentralized perpetual futures exchange built on an Ethereum ZK-rollup, listing over 190 markets spanning crypto, equities, commodities, and fixed income. The exchange raised 68 million dollars in November 2025 at a valuation of 1.5 billion dollars and now generates daily volumes of approximately 1.4 to 1.7 billion dollars. This offering enables traders to access US interest rates through a decentralized venue without opening a traditional brokerage account.
