How Siemens Healthineers is helping its international staff feel at home

Siemens Healthineers, a medical technology company headquartered in Erlangen, Germany, employing 74,000 people worldwide, launched Beyond Borders in January 2026, an employee network helping international staff navigate the hurdles of settling in, which attracted 200 members within nine months. Of its more than 17,000 workers in Germany, about one in ten are international. The company ranks ninth on Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For – Europe list. Following the implementation of this program and other employee resource groups, resignations fell by about a quarter in 2025 to 2,336, roughly 3% of employees. Employee referrals in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa have risen 13% since 2024.
