Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co (TSMC), the world’s largest contract chipmaker, reported revenue of NT$511.86 billion (US$16.03 billion) in September, up 54.6% year over year, though down 0.6% from August. Third-quarter revenue came to approximately NT$1.49 trillion. The company, which counts Nvidia and Apple among its customers, has been a major beneficiary of surging demand for advanced AI chips. The stock closed 1.35% lower ahead of releasing the monthly figures.
