SPDR Gold Shares (GLD) and BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust ETF (IBIT) have climbed back into the top 10 most traded ETFs, displacing semiconductor-focused funds that dominated early 2026. GLD posted $6.80 billion in single-session trading volume, reaching 228% of its 30-day average, while IBIT generated $5.21 billion, representing 415% of its own average. Digital asset ETFs collectively recorded $10.16 billion in turnover, hitting 252% of their recent average. IBIT also saw net creations during the August 21-24 period, indicating new capital inflows rather than just trading among existing holders.
