GlobalFoundries announced the commercial availability of its UX platform, designed to power edge AI, connectivity, and Physical AI applications. The platform relies on the STAC (Sense, Think, Act, Communicate) architecture and integrates ultra-low-power CMOS/FDX technology, RF-SOI and SiGe solutions. The serviceable addressable market for Physical AI is estimated to exceed 18 billion dollars by 2030, spanning AI-enabled glasses, smart hearing devices, connected appliances, and software-defined vehicles. The company completed the acquisition of Synopsys’ ARC processor business, gaining over 150 patents and approximately 300 customers. Volume production of embedded RRAM on the 22FDX+ platform is expected in 2026.
