Gemini has added HYPE staking to its platform, allowing customers in most US states to earn approximately 2.1% APY on Hyperliquid’s native token. No minimum stake is required and no transfer or redemption fees are charged, with the exception of New York residents. Approximately 440 million HYPE tokens are currently staked, representing 44% of the total supply of 1 billion tokens. This initiative is part of a broader institutional push around Hyperliquid, with Kraken also launching HYPE staking in June 2026 offering up to 2.2% APY, and Grayscale introducing the HYPG ETF on Nasdaq.
