Dell projects a 3,400% growth in global AI token consumption by 2030, driven by enterprises moving from pilot programs to full-scale AI deployments. This shift is primarily fueled by agentic AI, systems capable of autonomously executing complex multi-step tasks, which are expected to account for nearly two-thirds of AI computing requirements in the coming years. The company raised its fiscal 2027 AI server revenue forecast from $50 billion to $60 billion. Over 5,000 enterprises, including Lilly, Samsung and Honeywell, are already running production AI workloads on Dell infrastructure, with an AI backlog of $51.3 billion in Q1 2027. Dell also unveiled new hardware systems promising up to ten times lower cost-per-token compared to previous generations for large-scale AI inference.
