Three blockchain networks halted block production within four days. Cronos not only stopped its network but also replaced canonical state, restoring the chain to a point before the Tectonic exploit and resuming production from block 90,896,189. Ontology suspended block production preventively before confirming malicious activity with no user asset compromise. ICON’s chain-side controls arrived too late, as most affected ICX had already reached exchanges, leaving recovery dependent on freezes, legal process and authorities. Tectonic’s officially reported loss remains pending, while ICON’s confirmed losses stand at approximately 150.2 ETH plus 31,204 USDC.
