Soneium, Sony’s layer-2 network, announced the future issuance of its native SONEIUM token and a platform dedicated to tokenized intellectual property rights. Operational since January 14, 2025 and built on Optimism’s OP Stack, the network has more than 250 active applications and approximately 9.38 million dollars locked. Among the projects are funding for the Moriusa character and the tokenization of K-pop concert royalties, notably with BTOB. The token’s total supply and distribution schedule remain unspecified.
