Crypto.com will discontinue its consumer app services in Hong Kong on February 1, 2027. Affected customers have been notified and will receive instructions for closing their accounts and withdrawing their funds. The app is operated by Foris DAX MT Limited, while Foris DAX HK Limited is seeking a virtual asset trading platform license from the Securities and Futures Commission. Although its application was submitted on February 9, 2024, the entity remains classified as “deemed-to-be-licensed,” which is a transitional status rather than full regulatory approval. Crypto.com will nevertheless continue pursuing the license for its institutional-grade Crypto.com Exchange platform.
