Lisk officially shut down its blockchain on November 2, 2026, after ten years of activity, following the closure of its portal and bridge. The shutdown included the burning of 5.2 million LSK tokens, on top of 100 million tokens burned in September, reducing the total supply from 400 million to 300 million LSK. The token remains down 99.5% from its January 2018 peak of about $35, but is expected to continue existing on Ethereum as a loyalty token. Lisk is now repositioning itself as a financial platform for businesses, combining fiat currencies and stablecoins, with transfers and payments in more than 100 countries from 2027.
