CoreWeave’s $2B Nvidia partnership could lift GPU maker’s stock as AI infrastructure race heats up

Nvidia invested $2 billion in CoreWeave, acquiring a stake that makes it the second-largest shareholder of the AI-focused cloud provider. The investment, priced at $87.20 per share, is part of a partnership targeting over 5 gigawatts of AI data center capacity by 2030. CoreWeave’s stock climbed 9-12% following the announcement, while Nvidia gains priority access to its latest hardware, including the Rubin architecture and Vera processors. CoreWeave’s Q2 2026 revenue reached $2.58 billion, up 112% year-over-year, with an order backlog of $104 billion.
