BitGo Chief Product Officer Eugene Hahr has confirmed that the company cannot access or redeploy client funds without their explicit authorization. BitGo’s custody agreements state that clients retain full ownership of their assets and that these are held on a 1:1 basis with no rehypothecation. BitGo carries up to $250 million in insurance coverage from Lloyd’s of London. The company is expanding into prime brokerage, staking, and tokenized assets while maintaining this non-intervention policy on client assets.
