Bitget has resumed Bitcoin withdrawals following a hack. The attacker was swapping ETH for Bitcoin via THORChain, a decentralized protocol for swapping assets between blockchains. Bitget CEO Gracy Chen called on THORChain to refuse services to addresses linked to the attack. According to Lookonchain and Arkham data, ETH linked to the attacker was flowing into THORChain vaults. THORChain stated that its network halt was an emergency security mechanism affecting the protocol broadly and not a selective freeze of funds, adding it has no built-in address blacklist.
