Bitcoin Suisse, a Swiss crypto firm managing between $3.5 billion and $4 billion in assets, launched its trading, custody and staking services in Portugal on October 20, 2026. The company operates through its subsidiary Bitcoin Suisse (Europe) AG, holding a Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) license granted by Liechtenstein’s Financial Market Authority (FMA) in June 2026 under the EU’s MiCA framework. This license enables passporting, allowing the firm to provide services across the European Economic Area without additional licenses in each country. The offering targets high-net-worth individuals, family offices and institutional investors, led locally by Rafaella Orelli and Alexander Spann. Portugal ranks 20th globally in digital asset adoption according to Chainalysis.
