Bitcoin extended its intraday rebound and reached $81,687 on Bitstamp as bid liquidity thickened around $79,000 and $80,000. Crypto markets strengthened as concerns eased over artificial intelligence spending and debt financing, with the KOSPI up 6.6% in one session and the Nasdaq Composite closing up 1.1% ahead of major technology earnings. Mike Wilson, chief US equity strategist at Morgan Stanley, said that most of the correction was already over after a four- or five-month decline, and that technology stocks were entering a new bullish phase. Markets expected the Federal Reserve to keep its target rate at 3.75% to 4% at its Wednesday meeting, with CME Group’s FedWatch tool showing a 90.6% probability. Rekt Capital noted that bitcoin’s weekly chart resembled the structure of 2022 and that the asset remained within a possible macro accumulation range between $60,000 and $80,000, with the $82,000 resistance still decisive.
