Bitcoin : l’IA signale 85 failles critiques en 27 heures

Share

The Bitcoin Red Team, a group of sixteen volunteer developers funded by OpenSats, generated 4,962 security alerts in just over 27 hours by applying artificial intelligence models to 390 Bitcoin-related projects. The audit revealed 85 critical-severity reports and 635 high-severity ones, representing a rate of 2.31 critical or high-severity reports per person per hour. The vulnerabilities mainly affect wallets, cryptographic libraries and infrastructure tools, not directly the Bitcoin protocol or Bitcoin Core. The computational cost reaches approximately 10,000 dollars per day, but the main challenge now lies in handling false positives and coordinating with development teams. This campaign highlights the potential fragility of Bitcoin’s peripheral ecosystem, where attackers now have access to the same AI tools to identify and exploit flaws.
