Binance has recovered approximately 90% of the cryptocurrencies stolen in its record-breaking $6.3 billion security breach, up from 80% in its previous update. The remaining 10% consists mainly of less liquid tokens that require more time to acquire. The exchange is targeting Sunday, November 1, to resume customer withdrawals. It also confirmed that holders of ten major cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Tether, BNB, Solana, USDC, XRP, USD1, RLUSD, and Zcash, are now fully covered. To finance the recoveries, Binance has allocated about $6.34 billion from its Secure Asset Fund for Users, futures insurance fund, and corporate treasury. The exchange also published a new proof-of-reserves snapshot for customers to verify that their holdings are fully backed once the cryptographic verification process is completed between November 3 and November 5.
