B.Grimm Power, one of Thailand’s leading power producers, plans to invest in a new 250-megawatt data center alongside an unnamed overseas partner. This announcement raises the company’s data center capacity target from 300 to 500 MW by 2030, representing a 67 percent increase in just one month. Chairman Harald Link tied the decision directly to surging data center demand driven by artificial intelligence. The company already has a joint venture with Singapore-based operator Digital Edge for a hyperscale campus in Chonburi, within Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor, with an initial capacity of 96 to 100 MW financed by an 880 million dollar green loan. The first phase is expected to be ready in the fourth quarter of 2026 or the first quarter of 2027.
