Ripple is positioning itself as a major competitor to Wall Street banks in the financing of leveraged exchange-traded funds (ETFs). According to Morningstar Direct data, 593 leveraged ETFs are currently trading in the U.S. with assets under management exceeding $256 billion, of which 426 are single-stock leveraged ETFs. Financing fees for these products can reach approximately 8 %, consisting of the overnight bank funding rate plus 4 %. Ripple completed its $1.25 billion acquisition of prime broker Hidden Road in October 2025, rebranded as Ripple Prime, enabling it to offer clearing, financing and total return swap services. The firm recently expanded its partnership with Brevan Howard, an alternative asset management firm managing approximately $35 billion in assets.
