Attacks attributed to the Houthis targeting Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport and a Saudia aircraft killed three Saudi citizens, including a pilot of the national carrier, and wounded several people of different nationalities. Thursday’s strikes were the deadliest in Saudi Arabia since the kingdom and allied forces launched a major ground offensive in Yemen last weekend. At least 124 flights to and from Riyadh were cancelled on Friday, following hundreds of cancellations the previous day. Air India, Lufthansa Group, and Pakistan International Airlines have all suspended their Riyadh operations. The European Union Aviation Safety Agency warned of an increased risk of civil aircraft misidentification and hazards from missile debris.
