Apple briefly surpassed the $5 trillion market cap threshold on July 28 when shares peaked at $342.89, pushing its valuation to approximately $5.036 trillion during intraday trading. The company became only the second public company to reach this milestone, after Nvidia, which first hit the mark in October 2025. As of late September, Apple’s market cap stood at approximately $4.96 trillion, compared to $5.5 trillion for Nvidia. Apple adopted a partnership-driven strategy with Google and other external AI providers rather than investing billions in AI infrastructure like its peers. The launches of the iPhone 18 Pro and the foldable iPhone Duo contributed to a more than 7% gain in the share price.
