Aave Labs has filed a proposal to create a foundation that would place the protocol’s brand and intellectual property under decentralized DAO governance. Phase 1 would establish a legal entity in the Cayman Islands and appoint independent board members. Transfers of trademarks, domains, and source code would require subsequent governance votes to be approved.
