Nace AI published the technical report “Towards Foundation Decision Models: Drex” on arXiv and introduced Drex Max, a 27-billion-parameter model built to select answers rather than generate text. According to the company, Drex Max records a median response time of approximately 183 milliseconds, compared with 2 to 3.5 seconds for comparable systems. The multimodal model accepts text, images, JSON and video, supports a 262,000-token context window and scores 67.52 on Decision Index 0.4. The Drex family, which also includes a 9-billion-parameter version, is distributed under the Nace.AI Open RAIL-M license through GitHub and Hugging Face. Founded in 2024 in Palo Alto, Nace AI raised $21.5 million in seed funding and already offers Drex for Search and Drex for Finance.
