Apple has launched an investment-grade US dollar bond offering split into seven tranches, marking its first return to the debt market since May 2025. This is the group’s first seven-tranche deal since 2015. Its previous offerings, generally fixed-rate and spanning three to 30 years, often targeted $8 billion to $12 billion and attracted orders of $30 billion to $40 billion. Apple’s debt is rated AA+ by S&P and Aa1 by Moody’s. Proceeds are earmarked for general corporate purposes, a category that typically includes share buybacks and dividend payments, with no specific buyback amount announced.
