Solana Officially Scores 1,000 Days Without Outage

Share

The Solana network has recorded 1,000 consecutive days without a network-wide outage after suffering several major disruptions between September 2021 and February 2023. The longest, in September 2021, lasted roughly 17 hours following a surge in transactions linked to the Grape Protocol. Other incidents halted the network for approximately seven hours in April 2022, 4.5 hours in June 2022 and more than six hours in September 2022, before the February 2023 block propagation incident. Solana has since introduced stake-weighted quality of service, QUIC, improved deduplication logic, a local fee market and scheduling enhancements. According to a September 2026 update, the network has achieved 100% uptime since February 2024; in August 2026, a routing failure disconnected validators representing nearly 29% of staked weight without halting block production.
