Binance users withdrew $4.649 billion from the platform between 6:00 and 15:30 UTC, while deposits totaled $1.01 billion. This resulted in net outflows of approximately $3.64 billion, equal to 2.1% of Binance’s $171 billion in assets under management. The withdrawal resumption followed the $6.3 billion hack that sent Bitcoin tumbling from $81,000 to $76,000 and triggered $1.5 billion in liquidations. Binance said it had replenished approximately 95% of the affected assets, while the remaining networks and assets continue to undergo testing. Despite the incident, Bitcoin remained relatively stable around $78,000, a setup that some analysts compared with the period following FTX’s collapse in November 2022.
