BNY now allows eligible institutional clients to custody and transfer XRP and the RLUSD stablecoin through its financial servicing platform. The announcement provides no XRP balance or evidence of an additional purchase, and it names no funded custody client. Separately, C2FO plans to use RLUSD to settle early payments from its Instant Pay platform on the XRP Ledger, with a waitlist and access limited to the United States at launch. Actual uptake and settlement volumes remain unconfirmed. On the XRP Ledger, the minimum fee for a standard transaction is 10 drops, while the base reserve is 1 XRP plus generally 0,2 XRP per qualifying owned ledger item, without rising proportionally with the value of an invoice settled in RLUSD.
