Space42, an Abu Dhabi-based company active in satellite communications, Earth observation and artificial intelligence, plans to allocate $1.7 billion to new projects as it targets revenue growth from $260 million to $600 million by 2030. The company, which currently generates 90% of its revenue in the UAE and 80% of its sales from government contracts, aims for a 70/30 split between public-sector and commercial customers. It could strengthen this investment plan through acquisitions, particularly in geospatial analytics for agriculture and critical infrastructure. Space42 has also established Equatys with Viasat, a platform connecting devices directly to satellites that is expected to launch in 2029 with an initial constellation of fewer than 200 satellites before expanding to 2,800.
