Toronto police have charged seven men, including three Canadian Forces reservists, over the kidnapping of a crypto platform executive in July. The suspects allegedly operated a masked commando that bound and beat the victim to obtain access codes and security codes, as well as a ransom. Searches uncovered two 3D-printed pistols, a pump-action shotgun and approximately 2,700 rounds, most of which were allegedly stolen from military stockpiles. Police identified the getaway vehicle in less than 24 hours and subsequently arrested all seven suspects. Two reservists were suspended from duty pending an administrative review, and it remains unknown whether the kidnappers obtained any cryptocurrency.
