Bitcoin software company Breez has seen partnership inquiries surge roughly 14-fold since AI coding agents went mainstream. The company attributes this jump directly to Anthropic’s Claude Code, which launched as a research preview in February 2025 and became generally available three months later. Before 2025, most prospective partners fell into three camps: committed bitcoin enthusiasts, crypto developers, and fintech firms treating bitcoin as an asset class. Since Claude Code arrived, Breez has heard from developers with little or no bitcoin experience, including requests from fitness apps, messaging apps, eSIM services, and even a mushroom-identification app. The company noted that a growing share of inquiries now come from software, not people, with coding agents favoring bitcoin for its permissionless nature.
