Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei stated that AI could make half of all entry-level white-collar jobs redundant and cause unemployment to rise by 10 to 20% over the next five years. A survey by King’s College London found that 69% of British workers are concerned about AI’s economic impact on employment. Facing these concerns, Hilton, which is gradually increasing its use of AI across back office and customer-facing roles, insists that the technology is meant to enhance rather than replace human interactions. The company ranked first in Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For – Europe 2026, with 92% of its UK employees rating it a « great place to work » compared to 54% for the average UK organization. Hilton logged 1.8 million hours of volunteering in 2025 through its « travel with purpose » program and has 329 hotels under construction, while the World Economic Forum projects a shortage of 43 million workers in the travel and tourism sector by 2035.
