Optimism drops 12% – Why falling on-chain activity puts OP at risk

Share

Optimism’s OP token fell 12% amid a broader crypto market capital outflow of $91.76 billion in one day. Total value locked (TVL) has declined by approximately $14.33 million since October 5, dropping to $485.95 million. DEX trading volume on Optimism’s mainnet collapsed from a peak of $495 million on September 3 to roughly $21 million. OP has now entered a key demand zone around $0.15, a level that previously supported the token’s last upward move. The Accumulation/Distribution indicator has fallen to -12.8 million in weighted volume, signaling sustained selling pressure that could invalidate the demand zone.
