Ripple Custody adds Canton Network support for institutions

Share

Ripple launched version 1.43 of Ripple Custody on October 5, 2026, adding support for the Canton Network for its institutional clients. This update enables the holding and transfer of Canton Coin (CC), also known as Amulet, as well as all CIP-56 tokens issued through Canton’s Digital Asset registry. The architecture relies on a BYOV (bring-your-own-validator) model where signing keys remain in the client’s vault via an HSM or KMS. Institutions can now manage their Canton assets alongside their other digital holdings without requiring a separate custodian, although access is currently limited to API integration.
