OKX, NYSE parent file to launch tokenized US stock platform

OKX and Intercontinental Exchange, the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange, have filed with the SEC to launch a tokenized stock trading platform. The joint venture OKXICE, formed as a 50-50 partnership in June, plans to include more than 60 companies listed on US stock exchanges. The initiative falls under the SEC’s recently introduced innovation exemption, which allows limited trading of tokenized US stocks on certain blockchain-based venues. OKXICE co-chair Andrew Cuomo described the move as a landmark step toward a truly global, 24/7 Wall Street.
