Google has developed PageBreak, an artificial intelligence agent created by its Product Security team to detect exploitable vulnerabilities in its own web applications. The tool has already identified more than 500 cross-site scripting (XSS) flaws. Its particularity is to confirm each bug with a working exploit in a live environment, giving it a near-zero false-positive rate. Google now plans to pair it with CodeMender, its automated patch-writing agent, to propose fixes ready to be reviewed by engineers.
