Hayden Adams claimed that Sam Bankman-Fried paid a seven-figure sum to acquire the Uniswap.com domain. According to Adams, Uniswap Labs had previously rejected the original owner’s seven-figure asking price. Bankman-Fried then acquired the domain and redirected it to a Uniswap fork, specifically SushiSwap, in what Adams described as an attempt to « flex. » Uniswap Labs filed a complaint with the World Intellectual Property Organization on May 18, 2021. The WIPO panel found that the domain had been acquired and used in bad faith, and ordered its transfer to Uniswap Labs four months later.
