An MEV bot named Yoink intercepted approximately $7.7 million in rsETH by front-running a malicious exploit transaction targeting a Kelp DAO rsETH vault. The bot spotted the opportunity in the mempool and executed its transaction before the attacker could complete the theft, capturing the vulnerable assets. Kelp paused smart contract operations to secure the intercepted funds, which were frozen pending resolution. Although the incident did not result in irreversible losses, it exposed a serious vulnerability that required emergency intervention.
