Pendle launches NGI+ market bringing institutional infrastructure yields to DeFi

Share

Pendle has launched the NGI+ market allowing DeFi users to trade fixed and variable yields on tokenized private infrastructure assets backed by Partners Group, a firm managing approximately $186 billion in assets. The market offers an initial fixed yield of roughly 19% with a maturity date of December 10, 2026, and users can split the NGI+ token into a principal token offering fixed returns and a yield token for speculative variable exposure. The underlying fund has delivered a cumulative net return of 48.8% since its inception in February 2024, with volatility below 2.5% and no reported drawdowns. The total onchain value of the NGI+ token sat at approximately $4.17 million by mid-September 2026. The tokenized real-world asset market has now surpassed $300 billion, and the NGI+ integration represents a significant step toward merging institutional-grade private infrastructure with blockchain technology.
