Bitcoin approached $82,000 on Saturday before being rejected and sliding toward $80,000, amid a broader market correction driven notably by escalating tensions in the Middle East. Most large-cap altcoins followed the downward trend, with privacy coins ZEC and XMR experiencing the steepest declines at around 8%. However, Avalanche (AVAX) defied the trend by surging more than 11%, above $9.60. The total cryptocurrency market cap shed approximately $40 billion in one day, falling to $2.740 trillion.
