Anthropic has chosen Accenture as its first embedded evaluator to help slow AI development, following CEO Dario Amodei’s proposal published on September 12. The non-exclusive partnership involves evaluating and red-teaming AI models, conducting alignment assessments, and testing model safeguards. Both companies expect to invest at least $1 billion each over the next five years in the collaboration. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk responded positively to the initiative, while Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang opposed it. Anthropic said it will fund Accenture’s work directly due to the urgency of the situation.
