Arbitrum confirms Robinhood Chain faced transaction batch delays, no downtime

Share

Arbitrum confirmed that Robinhood Chain experienced transaction batch posting delays to Ethereum on September 4, 2026, with no downtime. Block production was temporarily stalled for 4 to 14 minutes, resulting in approximately 8,400 missed blocks while the network processed over 14 million daily transactions. The issue stemmed from Ethereum market conditions rather than any failure in Robinhood Chain’s own infrastructure, and no funds were lost or compromised. The incident highlights the dependency of Layer 2 networks on Ethereum for final settlement and the limitations of centralized sequencer architecture without a decentralized fallback. Robinhood Chain, launched on July 1, 2026, uses ETH as its gas token and allocates 10% of net revenue to the Arbitrum DAO and Developer Guild.
