Chainlink has partnered with Bottomline, a B2B payments technology provider, to bring secure cross-chain payment capabilities to Bottomline’s banking customers. The company processes hundreds of billions of dollars in annual volume and serves approximately 1,200 financial institutions and 10,000 businesses globally. This collaboration aligns with Chainlink’s strategy to expand into traditional finance, particularly through Project Pangea, which involves over 50 banking institutions in Europe and South Korea, collectively managing over $10 trillion in assets under management. Chainlink’s CCIP enables different blockchains and traditional systems to communicate with each other, which is critical for any financial institution that wants to use blockchain without being locked into a single chain.
