Treasury yields rise as global bond sell-off continues

U.S. Treasury yields rose broadly on Wednesday as inflation and debt concerns weighed on global borrowing costs. The 10-year Treasury yield reached 4.81%, its highest level since January 2025, while the 30-year yield stood at 5.286%. The escalation of tensions in the Middle East has renewed fears of entrenched inflation, prompting investors to demand a greater premium for medium- and long-term government debt. Market participants now expect interest rate hikes in the U.S. and abroad this month.
