Crypto wallet addresses linked to the Lazarus Group, North Korea’s state-affiliated hacker collective, transferred $30 million in digital assets through the decentralized exchange Hyperliquid. The funds, initially sent via Bitcoin, were swapped for Ether or Solana and then bridged to Tron, Solana or the Ethereum network, with final destinations including the KuCoin, Kraken and Lbank exchanges as well as several unlabeled services on the Tron network. The transfers occurred weeks after President Trump announced plans for a regulatory pathway for Hyperliquid in US markets. The Lazarus Group is the main suspect in the record $1.4 billion hack of the Bybit exchange in 2025.
